6 Months old... Practically a teenager!

Miss Roo is 6 months old... actually 7 months now, but it has taken me a whole month to get myself to blog.
6 Month Stats-- Weight 17.2 pounds (58%) Height 27.5 inches (89%)

Ruby LOVES: Her crib, anything to chew on, bath time, carrots, sweet potatoes, and apples, she loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, her bouncer thing, looking at herself in the mirror, pulling hair, her carseat, the ibuprofen bottle(the squishy thing on top to chew), outside, being naked, drinking water from a sippy-cup, football/volleyball games, to fake cough and laugh(maybe to make me feel good about myself??) her blanket on her face to sleep, tilting her head to the side to look at something...

Ruby DOESN'T LOVE: Green beans or peas, getting dressed for the day or getting her pajamas on, her nose cleaned out, church(she is so irreverent), when her pacifier falls out...

Ruby can't do anything too crazy yet. She sits up really good and just watches everything whats going on. She sleeps about 11 hours at night and takes 2 2-3 hour naps during the day. She eats around 7 ounces of formula 4-5 times a day and has yummy baby food 2-3 times a day. She wakes up happy and only cries when shes tired or hungry. She doesn't have any teeth yet (although I thought she was teething at 4 months). The doctor said she is very strong and healthy. She doesn't laugh for just anybody but when she thinks something is funny she laughs until she's worn out. When Ruby and I both sit down and look in the mirror she flops both of her hands around like shes waving, and then while Im waving she stops and when I stop she starts floppin her arms again... so, I dont know if she is trying to wave or if its just a funny coincidence. She babbles a lot even with her pacifier in her mouth... she hardly ever goes without a pacifier, when she sees it she grabs it and puts it in her mouth. Ruby pretends like shes just going to softly touch your hair but as soon it touches her hand, she has a death grip on it. She rolled over for about a week when she was around 2 months old but she has ZERO interest in rolling over now. She doesn't like being on her belly for very long which probably means no crawling anytime soon which Im okay with. She rocks back and forth when shes sitting up kinda like shes dancing. She has a high-pitch scream that gives me a headache but its a happy scream so I think its cute. She loves her dad and thinks he's the funniest guy in the world!

She is such a joy in our lives! I can't imagine life without her... well, I lie, I can imagine it but life is much better with her around! She is a SPECTACULAR baby and we ADORE her!

Aloha!

WE LOVE HAWAII!
Brian, Ruby, my mom, dad and I all hopped on a plane and flew to Hawaii to visit Hannah and her family! It was an absolute blast! I don't think it could have been a better vacation for us. Ruby did AWESOME on the plane going and coming back. I feel like we lucked out on having a great baby, I just know future kids are going to be rotten because Ruby is just so fantastic.

Hawaii is a wonderful place to be and then to have all your favorite people with you makes it 10 times better! We did lots of fun things like:

Go to the beach a few times

Played tennis at BYUH

Nick and Brian went night spear fishing

Went to the Kaneohe Car Show

Had fun looking at cute babies

The Movie Tour at Kualoa Ranch

Tried surfing (Not cool by the way)
Hug my sister!

We also went to the Wet 'N Wild waterpark, ate at yummy restaurants, Brian went golfing with Lamar quite a few times, the Night Show at the PCC, flea market at the Aloha Stadium, went on lots of stroller rides and just loved being there!
It is fun going to visit my sister and her adorable family in Hawaii but I absolutely cannot wait until they move back, nothing is better than having them live 8 minutes away!
I love you sister! Thanks for the FANTASTIC time!

Life is good!

Life is good when I get to wake up to this adorable little girl every morning. Brian and I just can't believe she is our little girl. What did we do in our life before Ruby?!... We really ask ourselves that everyday! She is super fun and such a good baby! Anyway, these are a few pictures that make me smile!

Pictures of Ruby

So my super talented sister in law Sarah took these pictures for us and they turned out AMAZING! I love them so much! Thanks again Sarah-- You're a fantastic Sister In Law and a wonderful Auntie!

Ruby is 6 weeks in these pictures, I can't believe how fast it's gone by! I just know I'm going to blink my eyes and she's going to be a teenager! :(

Ruby...

This picture makes me happy and I just thought I'd post it. Little Ruby can scream her guts out and frustrate the heck out of me but when I look at her when she's like this I just want to squeeze her and kiss her a thousand times! Being a mom is definitely one of the hardest things I've chosen to do in life but absolutely the most rewarding! We love our Ruby and couldn't be more proud of her!

She's here!

Ruby Ann Ellerman
Born April 27th at 9:55 a.m.
Weighed 7 lbs. 14 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long

I never thought I could love a little baby so much! She is our Pride and Joy! I love her fuzzy black hair and her tiny little heart lips and her very large feet and how she got her daddy's Mexican genes and the way she goes cross-eyed when we are too close to her face and all of her funny/adorable noises she makes... she just makes my heart happy! Brian has always been afraid of newborns and I thought he might just kinda sit back and let me take care of her for the first little while... oh no, He is so stinkin good with her! He wants to hold her all the time and put her in all of her cute outfits, when she starts crying he hurries and makes her happy... He's just fabulous! I'm really impressed and proud of how good of a daddy he is! I can tell she's gonna have him wrapped around her finger!
Labor was surprisingly not bad at all. I expected the absolute worse and I was pretty proud of myself that I did it so easily! Epidurals are truly amazing! Everything went great and simple and I'm so glad she's here!

Eek! Scary picture of me!

32 Weeks, 8 to go... EEK!

Holy smokes, I can't believe I have only two more months to go. Sometimes I get so nervous and freaked out that I'm actually going to be a mom and then other times I'm super giddy and can hardly wait to get her here!
We got our crib in last week and I ordered a cute little bedding set for her, but other than that... I have NOTHING ready. Is that normal? I don't know, but I feel like I need to start gettin busy with stuff or I'm going to get TOO giant and wont be able to do anything.
Life is good, other than heartburn 24 hours a day and not sleeping good at night! But, what can you do?

Yes, its weird looking at a picture of me being pregnant. WEIRD!

She's not an "It" anymore!

Yup, a little girl is in my belly and I'm so stinkin excited! I am 25 weeks and feeling pretty okay. I hate not being able to sleep real well at night and going to the bathroom 20 times a day but I know it will all be worth it at the end! I'm very very nervous about delivering and being a new mom and everything in between, so any words of advice that I could use, I would love to hear!! I asked my sister a couple days ago if I was in for it, and she looked at me and said yep, you have no idea... haha. So, I can say I'm ready for the worst, but I'm probably not! It's okay, everyone does it right?
I feel like I've learned lots of new things I didn't know before I was pregnant, and I thought I'd share just a few...

-You really do cry over the stupidest things, and you don't even know why you're crying.
-It's okay if people look at you then your big belly while you're trying to talk to them.
-My buns and legs are the things that get bigger when I gain weight.
-Thinking about wearing jeans makes me want to throw up.
-Back aches suck
-I get heartburn even drinking water
-I just needed to get pregnant to see what the inside of my belly button looks like
-I feel like a grouchy old person all the time... poor Brian

Only to name a few! But baby is healthy and life is good!
