Ruby...

This picture makes me happy and I just thought I'd post it. Little Ruby can scream her guts out and frustrate the heck out of me but when I look at her when she's like this I just want to squeeze her and kiss her a thousand times! Being a mom is definitely one of the hardest things I've chosen to do in life but absolutely the most rewarding! We love our Ruby and couldn't be more proud of her!

She's here!

Ruby Ann Ellerman
Born April 27th at 9:55 a.m.
Weighed 7 lbs. 14 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long

I never thought I could love a little baby so much! She is our Pride and Joy! I love her fuzzy black hair and her tiny little heart lips and her very large feet and how she got her daddy's Mexican genes and the way she goes cross-eyed when we are too close to her face and all of her funny/adorable noises she makes... she just makes my heart happy! Brian has always been afraid of newborns and I thought he might just kinda sit back and let me take care of her for the first little while... oh no, He is so stinkin good with her! He wants to hold her all the time and put her in all of her cute outfits, when she starts crying he hurries and makes her happy... He's just fabulous! I'm really impressed and proud of how good of a daddy he is! I can tell she's gonna have him wrapped around her finger!
Labor was surprisingly not bad at all. I expected the absolute worse and I was pretty proud of myself that I did it so easily! Epidurals are truly amazing! Everything went great and simple and I'm so glad she's here!

Eek! Scary picture of me!

32 Weeks, 8 to go... EEK!

Holy smokes, I can't believe I have only two more months to go. Sometimes I get so nervous and freaked out that I'm actually going to be a mom and then other times I'm super giddy and can hardly wait to get her here!
We got our crib in last week and I ordered a cute little bedding set for her, but other than that... I have NOTHING ready. Is that normal? I don't know, but I feel like I need to start gettin busy with stuff or I'm going to get TOO giant and wont be able to do anything.
Life is good, other than heartburn 24 hours a day and not sleeping good at night! But, what can you do?

Yes, its weird looking at a picture of me being pregnant. WEIRD!

She's not an "It" anymore!

Yup, a little girl is in my belly and I'm so stinkin excited! I am 25 weeks and feeling pretty okay. I hate not being able to sleep real well at night and going to the bathroom 20 times a day but I know it will all be worth it at the end! I'm very very nervous about delivering and being a new mom and everything in between, so any words of advice that I could use, I would love to hear!! I asked my sister a couple days ago if I was in for it, and she looked at me and said yep, you have no idea... haha. So, I can say I'm ready for the worst, but I'm probably not! It's okay, everyone does it right?
I feel like I've learned lots of new things I didn't know before I was pregnant, and I thought I'd share just a few...

-You really do cry over the stupidest things, and you don't even know why you're crying.
-It's okay if people look at you then your big belly while you're trying to talk to them.
-My buns and legs are the things that get bigger when I gain weight.
-Thinking about wearing jeans makes me want to throw up.
-Back aches suck
-I get heartburn even drinking water
-I just needed to get pregnant to see what the inside of my belly button looks like
-I feel like a grouchy old person all the time... poor Brian

Only to name a few! But baby is healthy and life is good!

New News at the Ellerman home...

Its not very often when we have new news, so this is a change for us... a big change... I am pregnant! Aahh! I never thought I'd be ready for a little baby to come into our lives, but its happened and we can't be more excited!
In the almost 2 years we've been married, I've been asked when we're gonna get started on a family about four hundred times. I always said never UNTIL Tanner and Elyssa's little baby girl was born in August and we went to go see her and I was holding her and I told myself that I'm totally ready to be a mom! That was either my body telling me I had to be ready or something else because at that time I was already a few weeks pregnant and I didn't even know! So anyways, it couldn't have happened any better for me! Brian has been ready to be a parent for a while... so we are two happy people!
Right now, I'm 12 weeks along and I'm due the end of April! Woohoo!

6 Months Later....

Yep, it's true... I am not a good blogger and probably never will be. I think I love just putting new backgrounds on my blog to make it look like I'm blogging! So this is another new start for me!
I think the last time I wrote it might have been in November? A few things have happened since then!... I am so stinkin excited to say that we are finally in our new home! We have been living in an RV since we've been married and I was just about to lose my marbles because I just wanted a normal life and not camp anymore! So as soon as the carpet was put in our house, we dragged a mattress in the family room and slept there for a few weeks! We would sleep in the house, and then go get ready for the day in the camper... kinda funny. But as things were finishing up the more we moved in. We still don't have a shower door, curtains, or a stove or microwave (yes, we eat Casa everynight for dinner) and the rock outside isn't finished, but we are dang happy! Its exciting to decorate and paint and pick out furniture, all the normal homeowner stuff!

I'm so not a blogger!

Okay this is it... I think this is a"blog" people have been asking me to do. This is all a big guessing game to me! We will see how it turns out! I forgot that Brian and I had a blog and figured I should probably start our little journal/blog!

Brian and I met the middle of June, 2007. He was a newly returned missionary and super shy! I called his little sister to see if she wanted to go longboarding around town. When I got to her house I remembered that her older brother had just gotten home from his mission and she asked him if he wanted to go with us. He was cute to me, but just really not my type. He wouldn't even look at me when he walked out of the house, I don't think he even said a peep the whole night. Anyway, he asked me on a date a few nights later and totally proved me wrong with his "shyness" He was such a goober! I loved it! He was so much fun! We talked til about 3 that morning and since then we've been head-over-heels for eachother!

November 2nd 2007, we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple. The temple ceremony, pictures, hair, flowers, dress, reception, etc... were absolutely perfect! It would have never happened if it wasn't for my sister! She kinda took the whole "wedding planner" job and did so stinkin good at it. I loved every bit of it! I still don't think she understands how grateful I am for her for doing that for her little sister! Anyway, we went to Cancun for our honeymoon and came back and jumped in to the real life as "adults". I finished school the end of that semester and worked at Casa while Brian was building homes for Ron Cox, which he is still doing.

We've gotten to do a few fun things this past year since we've been married... we got to go to Salt Lake for April Conference, did a few snowboarding trips, went to Six Flags with Amy and Kent, many many trips to Mesa and the temple, flew to San Diego with Adam, Steph, Adysen, Hannah, Nick, Dane and Paige and went to Sea World, and hung out at the beach, had fun birthday parties and this list goes on! Brian actually agreed to let me go on a fun McBride Girls trip to New York City which was an absolute blast! It makes me excited to take Brian to NYC when we get a chance!

Life is absolutely wonderful at the Ellerman's home! Our newest project is building a home! And Brian is actually building it himself, and I am soooo proud of him! He works 8 hours a day on building houses for other people then comes home and works 4-5 more hours on our house! He is a hard worker and am so thankful for him! I'm not a real big help because I don't have big muscles, and get cold too easy to stay outside til 9 at night, so thank goodness we have such supportive families and friends that help out when Brian just can't do things by himself.

Well... thats our first and hopefully not last blog! I'll try to remember that we have a blog and update it every once in a while!
