Easter Time

Easter is a happy day for me!  And when we get to celebrate it with a little girl it makes it that much happier!  Holidays are definitely more fun when little kids are there to celebrate them with you... in fact, it's probably funner for us parents than it is for the kids.

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for weird little animals and so I talked Brian into getting some little ducks and chickens for Ruby for Easter.  We got to the feed store and I think Brian secretly fell in love with the animals... so, Ruby didn't get one or two ducks and chickens... she got 1 goose, 2 ducks and 5 chickens.  Just call us Old MacDonald!  Anyways, the three of us love them and it made Easter a great day!

Wikie-Up

I don't know what she does when she's sleeping but this is what she woke up looking like!  I sat and laughed for the longest time and she didn't even know why, poor girl!  I had her look in the mirror and she kept smiling and trying to touch it.  Too funny!

Ruby

Our little doll is 10 months old! She is the light of our life! She is so much fun to be around and is just happy all the time! She is getting to be so goofy and smart. She has only 2 teeth and likes showin' em off!  She absolutely loves looking and waving at herself in the mirror. She instantly starts dancing-- or wiggling as soon as she hears music. She puts her blanket over her head and plays peek-a-boo and thinks its the funnest game in the world. She loves playing the "Im gonna get you Ruby" game, she yells and giggles as soon as you start coming for her. You would think because she's 10 months old that she would be crawling, but not even close... She turns herself in circles or stretches as far as her little body will let her to get what she needs. She sleeps about 11 hours at night and takes 2 naps during the day. She still drinks a 6 ounce bottle every 4 hours and has baby food 3 times a day.

A day at the Ellerman's home

Ruby and I are home everyday together. We have lots of time on our hands which means lots of funny little pictures of her. She is my best little friend and she couldn't make my life more happy! She completes me! :)

I sat and giggled at this picture for a long time!
Her cheeks get in the way of her smile

She LOVES being outside

Showing off her only two teeth!

Relaxing watchin some TV

A sunny snow day on the mountains

Ruby's first battle wound.

Her favorite part of the day!

And this is what we do all day!

6 Months old... Practically a teenager!

Miss Roo is 6 months old... actually 7 months now, but it has taken me a whole month to get myself to blog.
6 Month Stats-- Weight 17.2 pounds (58%) Height 27.5 inches (89%)

Ruby LOVES: Her crib, anything to chew on, bath time, carrots, sweet potatoes, and apples, she loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, her bouncer thing, looking at herself in the mirror, pulling hair, her carseat, the ibuprofen bottle(the squishy thing on top to chew), outside, being naked, drinking water from a sippy-cup, football/volleyball games, to fake cough and laugh(maybe to make me feel good about myself??) her blanket on her face to sleep, tilting her head to the side to look at something...

Ruby DOESN'T LOVE: Green beans or peas, getting dressed for the day or getting her pajamas on, her nose cleaned out, church(she is so irreverent), when her pacifier falls out...

Ruby can't do anything too crazy yet. She sits up really good and just watches everything whats going on. She sleeps about 11 hours at night and takes 2 2-3 hour naps during the day. She eats around 7 ounces of formula 4-5 times a day and has yummy baby food 2-3 times a day. She wakes up happy and only cries when shes tired or hungry. She doesn't have any teeth yet (although I thought she was teething at 4 months). The doctor said she is very strong and healthy. She doesn't laugh for just anybody but when she thinks something is funny she laughs until she's worn out. When Ruby and I both sit down and look in the mirror she flops both of her hands around like shes waving, and then while Im waving she stops and when I stop she starts floppin her arms again... so, I dont know if she is trying to wave or if its just a funny coincidence. She babbles a lot even with her pacifier in her mouth... she hardly ever goes without a pacifier, when she sees it she grabs it and puts it in her mouth. Ruby pretends like shes just going to softly touch your hair but as soon it touches her hand, she has a death grip on it. She rolled over for about a week when she was around 2 months old but she has ZERO interest in rolling over now. She doesn't like being on her belly for very long which probably means no crawling anytime soon which Im okay with. She rocks back and forth when shes sitting up kinda like shes dancing. She has a high-pitch scream that gives me a headache but its a happy scream so I think its cute. She loves her dad and thinks he's the funniest guy in the world!

She is such a joy in our lives! I can't imagine life without her... well, I lie, I can imagine it but life is much better with her around! She is a SPECTACULAR baby and we ADORE her!

Aloha!

WE LOVE HAWAII!
Brian, Ruby, my mom, dad and I all hopped on a plane and flew to Hawaii to visit Hannah and her family! It was an absolute blast! I don't think it could have been a better vacation for us. Ruby did AWESOME on the plane going and coming back. I feel like we lucked out on having a great baby, I just know future kids are going to be rotten because Ruby is just so fantastic.

Hawaii is a wonderful place to be and then to have all your favorite people with you makes it 10 times better! We did lots of fun things like:

Go to the beach a few times

Played tennis at BYUH

Nick and Brian went night spear fishing

Went to the Kaneohe Car Show

Had fun looking at cute babies

The Movie Tour at Kualoa Ranch

Tried surfing (Not cool by the way)
Hug my sister!

We also went to the Wet 'N Wild waterpark, ate at yummy restaurants, Brian went golfing with Lamar quite a few times, the Night Show at the PCC, flea market at the Aloha Stadium, went on lots of stroller rides and just loved being there!
It is fun going to visit my sister and her adorable family in Hawaii but I absolutely cannot wait until they move back, nothing is better than having them live 8 minutes away!
I love you sister! Thanks for the FANTASTIC time!

Life is good!

Life is good when I get to wake up to this adorable little girl every morning. Brian and I just can't believe she is our little girl. What did we do in our life before Ruby?!... We really ask ourselves that everyday! She is super fun and such a good baby! Anyway, these are a few pictures that make me smile!
